It is November! One month to holiday decorations, and Letters to Santa.

A good time to think of others and do Service for our community.

Nov 5th is Scouts Food Drive day. Scouts all across Ottawa will be collecting food for their local food bank. Scouts in Kanata will be manning food stores to remind people to donate food to the Kanata Food Cupboard.

I am looking for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Please sign up for a 1/2 hour shift (or 2) between 9AM and 4PM. Youth will be approaching shoppers with lists of needed items for the food bank. Older youth will be loading the truck to take the food to the food sorting station. Venturers will be manning the food sorting station getting the food ready for those in need.

As a rule anytime a Scout is in the public eye they should be wearing their formal uniform with pride! Youth will be outside the store. Dress for the weather - neckers outside of coats. Stay warm and dry.
